I also like the fact that brief was involved with students at Leeds College of Art as it will give me an opportunity to create contacts with them for the future and for current issues.
The benefits of this brief is the possible opportunity to have my work featured in an exhibition which would be a great opportunity, and in the presentation that Eve and Nathan did they also mention that people form Village books and other design related companies would be attending the exhibition which is also another beneficial thing for me to experience for future work.
The process of creating this poster was very quick, I think that by choosing this brief it created a small turn around which is beneficial to my current workload and was suitable to what I like to do in my practice. The fact that the design was digital also saved me money (cheap skate) and the strict guidelines of keeping the design black and white was also helpful in me making design decisions.
However on reflection I felt I could have spent more time developing my design or possibly creating more posters for the submission.
Overall seeing the third year students curating their own exhibition based on what they like in there personal practice and getting other creatives involved is very influential for future projects that I may have to do in my next year and will keep this in mind.
