STUDY TASK 3: LOGO'S AND BRANDING

For our task we were assiagned for 5 logos/ branding ideas and analyse them.

This logo is designed for Christina Kelava essential oils, The design represents the brand values through it's use of Serif which makes it look elegant and the script/brush font which gives it texture. The type creates fluidity which represented the essential oils company in a clear and concise way.

This logo is taken from the online font hub, 'my fonts'. The design uses a brush font that creates an organic and hand rendered feel that you think about with type. Also the M and Y in the logo creates an outline of a palm which creates synergy between the brands hand rendered type artists.

The logo has a mixture of traditionality and modernness through the use of gold and bright colour contrasts. The packaging was inspired by the cocoa beans. The M in the logo represents the ground and the harvesting of the coco bean trees. The custom lattice pattern keeps a traditional look and creates a framework to incorporate some modernist typography, inspired by the old signage still found around the country.

This is a design for the musicians Daft Punk and their event at the sound garden. The geometric shapes on the logo and within the letterforms are possibly used due to the genre of music which is house / electro, which is quite futuristic. The use of gold metallics within the logo also represent the futuristic style which is achieved by a foiling technique. The mask in the logo are what the musicians wear so this cements the meaning of the brand.

This is a Belgium ice cream company called 'sweez' which is an anagram for sweets and freezing. The company has cleverly used a brush font in the style f frozen ice, which anchors the company's brand values. The design also uses a blue to signify the food being cold and fresh. The logo also uses a cartoon ice cream man in uniform to possibly which creates a sense of fun and playfulness. The tongue hanging out of his mouth connotes that the sweets are tasty and is quite comical.
