FESTIVAL TICKET

For my Tickets I decided to create them in black and white and print them on coloured stock. With the initial colours I wanted to use in my branding.

Thumbnails

I decided to draw up a collection of ideas on how the design could look for my tickets also considering the packaging in which it will be put into.

From my thumbnails I decided to go with the simple idea of creating a rectangle shaped ticket with perforated ends, as I thought this would be most applicable to the festival theme. I also considered the packaging in which it would be placed and I didn't want the design to be too overbearing because of the bright designed packaging.

Development Front

I started my design in Illustrator using measments from old festival and concert tickets that I had collected.

I then started adding critical features such as bar codes and other information such as opening times and what type of ticket they were.

Development Back

Using the same layout as the front I created the back of my ticket design.

I then added the terms and conditions with the ticket and the festival, to show the ways in which the festival was structured and things for the consumer to consider.

I then finally added the festival map I created to the ticket to show consumers a little inside into where they can go.

Production

With the design proposed, I then decided to print and experiment with the coloured stock to see how they would look.

After printing out my designs and cutting them, I chopped some of some of the text, this is something I will have to rectify later on. However I think the outcome of the tickets look really interesting and bold. The toner in the black was slightly light but like I proposed before this is something I can rectify later on.
