Name badge
development.
After my name badge research I
decided to experiment with a few idea's until I created something I liked, In
the end I chose to create a name badge and sticker as
I couldn't decide upon two of my designs
and would receive feedback from my partner on which one
he preferred.
Firstly I began experimenting with the weight and spacing of the font before applying any of my patterns to see which one would be more effective. I decided to use the second image as it was consistent with my original type and I wanted the designs to flow consistently.

One of my first design idea's I
wanted to experiment with a star burst, I did a rough outline of one using a
paint brush and added a face within the text like in
my original font, but due to it being a name badge I just chose
the sketch of Jasper and coloured it in to add life, thus
making it more personal. I thought the badge looked a bit plain so I then went
to experiment with colour and more defined shapes.
For my second idea I chose to
experiment with colour and stock photo's to make it more bright and fit in with
the comic book genre more. I came up with this design but thought it was over
powering the typeface and also the colours didn't match up to my partners
likes. I also thought the style was rather tacky and cheap looking.

I then experimented with another stock photo I found through my research and like how it framed the text and image, however I still thought
it distracted from the typography and I wanted to stay true to my own design instead of borrowing someone else's so I kept this as a second option and
created it into a name sticker.
I then decided to go back a revisit my original design that was on
my typography and added a little bit of colour into the design.
