PHOTOSHOP TUTORIAL - STACKING IMAGES + SAVING

STACKING IMAGES


To create the bean image we first when to file> scripts> load files into stack, we uploaded all the images taken.



 We then selected smart object box to create one full image.



The generator selected the most common image, however there was still people in the shot.


To remove all the moving objects and to focus on the bean we then went onto layer> smart object> stack mode> median.

To create a brighter skyline we uplaoded another image with a brighter sky line and placed it over the original image. Then rasterised the current image. Then using the quick selection tool we slected the people and then deleted them.

CONTACT SHEETS - PDF'S


File> automate > contact sheet > then change the preferences to whatever you need and to economical about the display of work, select rotate to fit.

Saving a TIF file keeps all the resolution of the image and doesn't compress the quality compared to saving a jpeg file.

 To save a jpeg file ensure that the quality is set to it's highest to maintain the resolution and to keep the image crisp.





PDF
To create a PDF, firstly open the acrobat tool bar and go to the combine files bar. The file will automatically be saved and can be transported to any file. You can upload files including TIF which will have a greater quality for printing that a Jpeg.

Long edge: portrait
Short edge: landscape
