POSTCARDS: PHOTOGRAPHY CONTACT SHEETS

For the brief I was assigned to produce a set of five postcards that explore the shape of a triangle. Using my shape as a theme I would take images around the college and manipulate them using Photoshop. 

INITIAL SHOTS

8 IMAGES.

I took these intial shots for my theme of triangle, I focused on shapes around the college that replicated the shape and photographed these images.

I found that the images were dull and too literal so I decided to broaden my choices and photograph more images. After researching postcard designs I was influenced by looking into textures and architecture I could digitally experiment with.

ARCHITECTURAL PHOTOGRAPHY 

129 IMAGES.

I took images of the architecture in the LCA building that replicated  triangle shapes and other parts that created interesting patterns that I could experiment with. I visited various areas of the college from the photography room to the courtyard and student union.

TEXTURE PHOTOGRAPHY

53 IMAGES.

I took images of different textures I found in the LCA building, after looking at some post card designs. I was inspired by the photographer Jack Hardwicke and decided I could use these textures as a background. I visited various areas of the college from the print screening room to the pattern and textile printing building.
